Research Activities
The ECOMAN Centre (Ecological Economics and Management Centre) is part of the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (DCEA) of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (FFCT/UNL, Fundação da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia-Universidade Nova de Lisboa), New University of Lisbon. The Centre has a strong experience in developing interdisciplinary work, integrating environmental and socio-economic aspects. Its main areas of expertise are development of new approaches in the design and implementation of environmental policy instruments, participatory decision-making, sustainability assessment, environmental governance, ecological-economic modelling, valuation of environmental resources.
Contribution to PROSUITE
The New University of Lisbon leads WP5 on integration and is involved in WP4 on social assessment
