Research Activities
DSM is a major, Dutch-based multinational producer of chemicals. DSM puts significant effort into eco-efficiency and a gradual increase in the use of renewable resources as raw materials for its products. For example, DSM pays major attention to the production of bio-based chemicals by application of White Biotechnology (industrial biotechnology). DSM NeoResins (which is part of DSM Resins b.v.) produces thermosets for paints and coatings, printing inks and varnishes, or adhesives and sealants. An important business area of DSM NeoResins are waterborne technologies.
Contribution to PROSUITE
DSM will be involved in the case study on “Biorefineries and organic waste management” (Task 6.1). DSM will support data compilation and analysis and the interpretation of the results and will also participate in stakeholder analyses, if required.
